Indian actor Priyanka Chopra on Monday (August 06) said she was not going to compromise in her career by playing roles of a sidekick and instead would prefer playing role of a leading lady.
The former Miss World was speaking at FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers Of Commerce and Industry) event in New Delhi. Chopra said artists from Asia were given clichéd roles and her being part of mainstream American show, Quantico, would help others get in mainstream entertainment.
Chopra, 36, made her transition from Bollywood to Hollywood as the lead of “Quantico,” in which she plays an FBI recruit turned CIA agent.
Chopra’s step into Hollywood coincided with her foray into pop music, releasing her first single, “Exotic”, featuring rapper Pitbull and other songs like “In My City” and “I can’t Make You Love Me”.
